Disabled Joy

Our work on disabled joy began in a 2021 artist commission from the Raze Collective for our founder to explore the concept of disabled joy. 

The work culminated in a piece of art film and music which was celebrated as a finalist in the 2021 Sony Talent League, and would go on to inspire further work on the subject. The Sony Talent League was created by Sony and THU, and you can find out more about it on THU’s official website. 

It began with this definition of disabled joy: “Joy that comes from being disabled, not in spite of it”.
